On 18th May 2023, we joined forces with our corporate sponsors, Novus Black, to bring you our annual Golf Fundraiser at the stunning Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Wiltshire.
The aim was to raise £17,000 to contribute towards generators, food and water, first-aid medication, shelter and anything else we can give to help the people of Ukraine.
We surpassed that goal and raised a whopping £33,000!
On the day, we had 18 teams of 4 (male and female) with a donation of £500 per team.
To kickstart the fun, Bowood provides a traditional ‘golfing breakfast’ consisting of bacon and egg rolls, fruit, tea & coffee before heading to the driving range where a PGA professional is on hand for free tips and guidance before a shotgun start at 11AM.
For those that are extra competitive, we had some mini competitions to win – Nearest the Pin, Least Number of Putts, Longest Drive and Beat the Pro on a Par 3.
Throughout the day, there was a ‘Refreshment Hut’ situated on the 9th & 10th holes with hot and cold snacks and of course, liquid refreshments.
After a day of golfing, Bowood has exceptional changing and showering facilities to freshen up before the evening.
Once everybody is ready, we head back to the Kerry Suite for a buffet dinner and drinks, prize giving for the mini-competitions and a fantastic Auction to raise even more money.
The total team score won the day and £1,000! Congratulations to the winning team ‘IDG’ who scored a total of 97 points and have so kindly donated their £1,000 cash prize back to us to give to the people of Ukraine!👏
